The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Stress-Free Packing
Because traveling should be fun — not chaotic)If you’ve ever stared at an open suitcase five minutes before a trip wondering what to wear, this one’s for you. Over the years — from weekend getaways to long-haul flights — I’ve learned that packing smart makes everything easier. Here’s how to travel light, stay organized, and actually enjoy the process.
1. Plan Outfits, Not Items
Don’t just throw in “options.” Plan looks.Lay out outfits by day or event, including shoes and accessories. Pick a color palette (neutrals with one pop shade always win) so everything mixes and matches. Bonus: it makes getting dressed on your trip effortless.
2. Roll, Don’t Fold
Rolling saves space and keeps clothes from creasing. Use packing cubes to stay organized — one for clothes, one for lingerie/swimsuits, one for accessories. I love clear or labeled cubes so I can see what’s inside without unpacking everything. → Shop favorites: Beis Travel Cubes
3. Mini Everything
Your toiletry bag should always be ready to grab and go. Refill travel bottles with your daily skincare and hair products so you never forget something. → Try refillable silicone bottles, solid shampoo bars, or compact skincare minis — they save space and prevent spills. Mini skincare bottles
4. Layer Smartly
Airports and planes are unpredictable — freezing one minute, warm the next.Always travel in layers: a soft tee, light sweater, and a scarf that doubles as a blanket. It’s cozy and chic.
💻 5. Keep Tech Together
Use a tech pouch for cords, chargers, and adapters. You’ll thank yourself later when you don’t have to dig through your tote mid-flight.
📋 6. Create a Go-To Packing List
Keep a master checklist in your Notes app — clothes, toiletries, chargers, meds, passport. Before every trip, just duplicate and edit. Zero thinking required.
7. Always Pack One “Comfort” Item
Whether it’s your cozy socks, a sleep mask, or your favorite tea — a small comfort from home can make your trip feel extra relaxed.
🕶️ Final Tip: Edit, Then Edit Again
Once you’ve packed, remove at least one outfit. You’ll never miss it — promise.
