Little Luxuries That Make a Trip Better ✨

When Travel Anxiety Enters The Chat

 Hey BFFs — Happy Wednesday!

oes anyone else get a little travel anxiety before a trip? I adore traveling, but the hours before takeoff always bring the questions. Did I pack everything? Is my alarm set? Did I book the early Uber?

Over time I’ve learned a few little habits that make every trip feel smoother, calmer, and honestly… a little more luxurious. Whether it’s business or beach.

👇 Scroll for the 6 travel rules I swear by + my new fave reads for the plane. Cheers & martinis, Frances @GalOffDuty 🍸

Little Luxuries That Make a Trip Better

Not everything about travel has to be over the top.

Sometimes, it’s the small things — the little habits — that make a trip feel so much better.

Here are mine:

1. Arrive early, always.

Whether it’s the beach or the pool — getting there early = best chairs, best energy, no stress. Trust me, it sets the tone for the entire day.

Believe it or not… I’m a very light packer.Carry-on only always — and leave room for shopping (hehe).

3. Choose your drinks wisely.

Day drinking is a marathon, not a sprint.Go for something light (skinny marg, rosé) and drink lots of water — especially under the sun.

4. Take the early flight.

I’d rather wake up early and arrive with a full day ahead than lose the day traveling.Landing early just hits different — you feel settled, relaxed, ready.

5. Carry-on > checked bag.

No waiting, no stress, no lost luggage. Once you get used to it, you won’t go back.

6. Be kind to the people taking care of you.

Make conversation, learn their names, smile. You’ll see them every day — and being nice costs nothing, but changes everything.⸻ The real luxury?Feeling effortless, not overwhelmed.
