My Favorite Bite In Cadaqués

Hey babes — Happy Wednesday! I love classic Spanish food as much as the next girl. Jamón ibérico, pan con tomate, olives, vermouth, the whole gorgeous spread. But after a few days, my taste buds were ready for a little plot twist.

I still wanted Spain. I just wanted something a little less expected.

And sometimes, the restaurant gods hear you.

While wandering through a tiny alley in Cadaqués, we stumbled onto Oly Bar, and it ended up being one of my favorite surprises of the entire trip. The staff was young, cool, fresh, and so welcoming, and the menu had that same energy: creative, playful, and seriously delicious.

It felt like Spanish food with a wink. Familiar, but completely reimagined.

Oly Bar, A Tiny Cadaqués Find

Before I tell you everything about Cadaqués, I need to talk about one of my favorite discoveries from the trip.

The Side Street Surprise

Tucked away on a small side street, Oly Bar was the kind of place you stumble upon and then immediately wonder how more people don’t know about it.

What surprised me most was that it felt less like a casual wine bar and more like a tiny Michelin-star restaurant hiding in the heart of Cadaqués.

Dinner With A View Into The Kitchen

My favorite seat was always at the bar, looking directly into the kitchen. Watching the team work together was almost as enjoyable as the meal itself. Every plate was prepared with so much care, and every now and then, if we were curious about something, they would happily offer us a taste.

Still Thinking About The Focaccia

The homemade focaccia and butter were reason enough to return. I’m still thinking about them.

The Bite I’ll Never Forget

And then there was a dish I don’t think I’ll ever forget: cantaloupe topped with tuna. It sounds simple, but somehow it was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Fresh, unexpected, perfectly balanced, and one of those bites that immediately makes you stop mid-conversation.

The Kind Of Place That Gets It

The wine list was incredible, the staff made you feel like a regular from the moment you walked in, and there was an effortless warmth to the entire experience.

Honestly, Oly Bar was not at all what I expected to find in a tiny seaside town. It was better.

The Best Meals Find You

The kind of place that reminds you that some of the best meals happen when you aren’t looking for them.And that’s exactly why it became one of my favorite memories from Spain.
