Hotel Glorieta

The Weekend Destination For The Non-Scene Scene

Hey babes — Happy Wednesday! ✈️🍸 Today we're heading to Santa Fe, New Mexico, and checking into Hotel Glorieta.

This charming little desert town has been popping up everywhere lately — from my favorite fashion girls to creative friends who can't stop talking about it. Naturally, I had to see what all the buzz was about for myself.

Between the stylish renovations, all-day pool club energy, martinis at Lady Duff Lounge, and live music in the Marigold Room, I quickly understood why Santa Fe is becoming the weekend destination for the cool crowd.

Introducing Hotel Glorieta

Santa Fe has always had its loyalists: artists, collectors, desert romantics, and people who know exactly where to find the best chile relleno. But lately, a different crowd has started showing up. The fashion crowd. The creative directors. The people who used to spend every long weekend in Marfa, Austin, or Ojai. Santa Fe is quietly becoming one of the coolest destinations in America again, and after my stay at Hotel Glorieta, I completely understand why. Tucked into the foothills just outside downtown, Hotel Glorieta feels like a fresh chapter for Santa Fe hospitality. Historic bones, thoughtful renovations, plenty of personality, and just enough scene to make things interesting without losing the laid-back New Mexico magic.

The Vibe

If Palm Springs and old Santa Fe had a very stylish child, it might look something like this. The property has undergone a major refresh, and the newly renovated guestrooms strike that balance that's surprisingly hard to find: polished without feeling precious. Warm desert tones, modern touches, local influences, and the kind of comfortable luxury that makes you immediately start extending your checkout time in your head. It's relaxed, social, and undeniably photogenic, but it still feels rooted in place rather than trying to be somewhere else.

Pool Club Season

Let's talk about the real star of the property. The pool club AKA The Leisure Club. Santa Fe isn't traditionally known as a pool destination, which is exactly why this feels so fun. Between the mountain views, sunshine-filled afternoons, loungers, cocktails, and a crowd that actually wants to stay all day, the pool scene here feels like something Santa Fe has been missing. This is where you'll find yourself ordering another drink, canceling whatever plans you made for the afternoon, and settling into a surprisingly glamorous desert rhythm. The move? Claim a lounger early, order something cold, and stay until golden hour. Pro tip: Save time for the barrel sauna. It's one of the property's newest additions and exactly the kind of wellness moment that turns a good hotel stay into a great one.

Martinis at Lady Duff Lounge

Every great hotel needs a proper bar. Lady Duff Lounge delivers. The atmosphere feels intimate, moody, and just sophisticated enough to convince you that another martini is a good idea. It's the type of place where conversations stretch longer than expected and nobody seems in a hurry to leave. Order the martini. Trust me. This is where the hotel starts to transition from daytime retreat into nighttime social hub.

The Marigold Room After Dark

Once evening arrives, make your way to the Marigold Room. Live music gives the property a completely different energy after dark, and it creates exactly the kind of experience travelers are looking for right now: somewhere you can stay, eat, drink, listen to great music, and actually enjoy the night without needing to jump between venues. The combination of cocktails, local talent, and Santa Fe's unmistakable creative spirit makes it one of the most memorable parts of the stay.

Why Santa Fe Is Having A Moment

Santa Fe feels different right now. Maybe it's because travelers are craving culture again. Maybe it's because people want destinations with personality instead of another interchangeable luxury hotel. Maybe it's because creatives have finally rediscovered what artists have known for decades. Whatever the reason, Santa Fe feels fresh, exciting, and unexpectedly cool. Hotel Glorieta captures that energy perfectly. It's stylish without trying too hard, social without being overwhelming, and gives you every reason to spend an entire weekend moving between the pool, your room, a martini at Lady Duff, and live music at the Marigold Room. Honestly, that's a pretty perfect itinerary.

Your Next Weekend Adventure

If Santa Fe wasn't on your travel list before, it should be now. And if you're looking for the hotel that best captures the city's new energy, Hotel Glorieta is a very good place to start.
