The Art of Dreaming Big (Even When It Sounds Crazy)

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about dreams.Not the safe kind.The kind that make people raise their eyebrows a little when you say them out loud.The kind that feel almost too big.

If you know me, you know horses have always been part of my life. Some of my earliest memories involve the track, long mornings, and conversations about pedigrees, workouts, and races. It’s in my blood. But life has a funny way of bringing certain passions back to you at the exact moment you need them most.

Right now, that dream looks a little like a young filly named May May.She’s still just a baby in racing terms, learning every day, figuring things out one step at a time. But our trainer keeps saying the same things about her: she’s classy, calm, smart, and she loves to work. And somehow, hearing that has awakened something in me again.

A little hope.A little belief.A little “what if?”

What if you allowed yourself to dream bigger again?Not just in horse racing, but in life. In business. In love. In the quiet goals you keep tucked away because saying them out loud feels scary.

Because the truth is, every beautiful thing in my life started as something uncertain.The Fashion Lounge started as an idea.Gal Off Duty started as a creative outlet.Quality Stable was revived after years away from racing.Fred was once just a puppy with potential.And now here we are.

Sometimes I think we spend too much time trying to make our dreams sound realistic before we even give them a chance to exist.But maybe there’s something beautiful about dreaming before you have proof.Maybe there’s something powerful about believing in something while it’s still becoming.

The Kentucky Oaks is probably one of the hardest dreams in racing. Thousands of people chase it every single year. Most never get there. But is it crazy to dream about it anyway?

I think life becomes a lot more magical the moment you stop shrinking your dreams to fit other people’s comfort zones.
