The Reality of Building a Life You Once Dreamed Of
Slow down, babe. The glow up is happening.
Hey babes — Happy Wednesday!
Tell me I’m not the only one who gets so locked in on the next goal that I forget to actually live the chapter I’m in?
I’ll hit one milestone and immediately start sprinting toward the next. No pause. No celebration. Just “what’s next?” energy. And honestly… it’s such a habit. One I’m really trying to unlearn.
So today I’m sharing a little reminder to slow down, romanticize the process, and actually feel the steps that are taking us higher. Because the glow up isn’t just the outcome. It’s the becoming.
P.S. Today’s sponsor is giving exclusive access to MODE Mobile shares before they go public Definitely worth a peek if you love getting in early on smart opportunities.

The Reality of Building a Life You Once Dreamed Of
No one really talks about the work it takes to build a life you once dreamed of.
Not the exciting kind of work.
The quiet kind.
The everyday kind.
The kind that no one applauds.
It’s early mornings when you’re already thinking about a hundred decisions before the day even begins.
It’s carrying the responsibility of things that exist because you chose to create them.
It’s knowing that if you stop, even for a moment, everything feels like it could stop too.
Step 1
And I want to be clear.
I’m not complaining.
Because this is what I asked for.
I wanted to build something of my own.
I wanted independence.
I wanted a life that felt like mine.
But what I didn’t realize back then is how hard I would be on myself once I got here.
How I would always want more.
How I would rarely stop and say, this is enough for today.

Step 2
Sometimes I move through my life already focused on the next thing.
The next project.
The next goal.
The next improvement.
Without realizing I’m standing inside something I once only dreamed about.
I have to remind myself of that.
To pause.
To look around.
To recognize how far I’ve come.

Step 3
It teaches you to keep going, but it doesn’t always teach you to appreciate where you are.
I’m still learning that part.
Learning that building something takes time.
Learning that not every day has to be perfect.
Learning to be proud of myself while I’m still in the middle of becoming.
Not when I arrive.
But now.
