What To Wear This Weekend — Brooches & Pins

This weekend is a special one for me. Tomorrow two of my athletes compete — Fred in his AKC show and Vuela Paloma back on the track. Needless to say, I’m feeling all the emotions: excited, nervous, hopeful… the full spectrum.

So for this week’s WWW (What to Wear Weekend) I wanted to wear something that felt like a little homage to both of them.

I styled a classic navy blazer and added a few meaningful brooches: a poodle for Fred a horse for Vuela Paloma

Pins and brooches are actually making a big comeback in fashion, especially when you combine several of them together to create a small collage on a blazer or jacket. It’s a beautiful way to personalize a look and make it feel uniquely yours.I’ve always loved pieces that carry meaning, and this felt like the perfect subtle nod to two very important parts of my life this weekend.
