 Hey babes — Happy Friday! I've spent most of this week bouncing around New York City meeting with some of our favorite brands and suppliers for The Fashion Lounge, and let me tell you... the new season is looking very good. The NYC hustle / struggle is real. We found dumplings, slices, and a Mexican place that is truly unreal. Like out of a dream, unreal!

🍸 WWW: From Office Hours To Aperitivo Hour

I know, I know… somehow every week lately seems to involve a suitcase, an airport, and me convincing myself I packed light.

Yesterday, I was in New York for a meeting with Never Fully Dressed. Today, I’m heading to Miami for a few days of birthday celebrations, which feels like the perfect way to kick off another trip around the sun.

And while these were technically two very different days, this outfit felt like the perfect bridge between work mode and vacation mode.

What I’m wearing

An oversized chocolate brown t-shirt dress layered over high-waisted cream barrel jeans finished with tiny silver studs.

Not exactly the combination you’d expect at first, which is probably why I loved it.

Why it works

Chocolate brown feels especially chic right now. Softer than black, but just as versatile.

The oversized silhouette keeps everything relaxed while still looking intentional.

I’ve been reaching for barrel jeans more and more lately. They add shape and structure without feeling too serious.

The tiny silver studs are one of those details you almost miss, but they make the entire outfit feel a little more special.

It’s effortless. The kind of outfit that looks put together without requiring much thought—which, if you’ve ever packed for multiple trips at once, you know is the ultimate goal.

Style tip

Maybe it’s the mix of proportions. Maybe it’s the contrast between the rich brown and soft cream. Either way, this felt like one of those outfits that just works.

And lately, those are the pieces I’m reaching for most—the ones that make getting dressed feel easy, whether you’re running to a meeting, heading to the airport, or counting down the hours until birthday celebrations begin. ✈️
